This website

What this website asks for, and what stays on your device.

  • What stays on your device

    • Make your Orli: your Orli, its name and any files you save are made in your browser, and never sent to us.
    • Games and the Orliverse: they run in your browser. We don’t record what you make, and only count that a game started.
    • The trial form: your answers stay in this tab, or on this device for 7 days if you tick Remember.
    • Camera play: if you choose to use your camera in a game, the picture is worked out on your device. It’s never recorded, stored or sent, and the microphone is never used.
    • Your Accessibility choices are saved in this browser only.
  • What this website asks for

Only grown-ups’ details, and only when you send us something:

    • A trial request: your name, role, work email, school and its address, and a few answers about the trial group.
    • Our news: your email address, if you sign up.
    • A message: whatever you choose to write to us.
    • Trial feedback: your answers, and your work email only if you’d like us to reply.

They come to the Orli team by email, so we can reply and set up your trial.

We never ask for children’s details here, so please leave children’s names out of forms and messages.

  • Anonymous statistics: we count page views and a few actions, like a trial request or a game started, with no cookies, IDs or IP addresses. You can switch this off on the Cookies page.

Orli Schools, the app

Orli Schools is the app your staff sign in to. It’s separate from this website.

Ask for our data protection documents
  • Names stay off the board. Staff add pupils by name and mark who’s here when they set up a session. Pupils’ names and your teaching notes stay on your laptop, never on the class board.
  • Our data lead is writing a plain-English summary of what Orli Schools holds and who can see it, and we’ll add it to this page.

Your rights

Under UK data protection law, you can ask what information we hold about you, and ask us to correct or delete it. Email hello@orli.health.

If you’re unhappy with how we’ve handled your information, you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO). There’s more in our privacy notice.
